New Tiles, Guttering and Flashing, Wimbledon
Over a year ago Fiona and Maggie had gotten in touch with us after noticing a number of isolated leaks coming from their roof.
We got them out of trouble by patching tiles installing some new lead flashing. Pleased with our work they inquired about a full re-tiling of the property in the future.
A year later they were in touch again, though the leaks had subsided thanks to our previous work, they were well aware that the tiles and gutters were old, and had taken our advice that in the long run it is better and more affordable to deal with roof repairs before, rather than after, the water damage begins.
They wanted fresh slate tiles on all parts of the roof, new flashing where necessary and new gutters that were properly fitted and aligned. The couple were also delighted that we were able to schedule the roofing work around a family holiday, leaving them with a brand new roof to come back to.
We set up scaffolding around the entire house and started removing the old tiles, carefully planning each step so that we could securely fit the new tiles around the chimney and skylights, as well as make sure the new guttering on the main roof was level and correctly aligned. Finally new flashing was securely installed at key points to ensure the new roof was well sealed from moisture and rainfall.
Fiona and Maggie now have a beautiful new roof with properly working gutters and hardy, smooth draining tiles and lead flashing.
