Fibreglass Flat Roof Repair, Croydon
Kingsley got in touch with us as he was concerned about the many small leaks in the flat roof of his kitchen extension at his home in Croydon.
When we went round for an inspection we quickly identified that the old fibreglass (GRP) surface of his flat roof had deteriorated and water was coming through at many isolated spots. Rather than attempt to patch the many weak points (and since the roof structure itself was sound) we suggested stripping away the old GRP and laying down a fresh layer. This would take just as much time and cost, but would give Kingsley peace of mind that his flat roof would resist leaks long into the future.
We were able to complete the work within just one day. First we stripped away the old coating of the flat roof, and then set about cleaning the exposed surface to make sure the new fibreglass roofing would hold securely and without weak spots where moisture and dirt could gather. Finally the new GRP surface was carefully laid in place.
The flat roof of Kingsley’s kitchen extension is now reliably impermeable to the worst of the British weather, giving him peace of mind for years to come.
